Overview

An exploration of visual identity for Translink, based on a wayfinding-first approach.

Mockups

I took photographs of locations, and modelled unique mockups.

Prototyping

Researched materials, designed, laser-cut and assembled prototype signage.

Overview

In 2023, Founder and Editor in Chief Thom Bradley approached me with the opportunity to create a print magazine based on the work of up-and-coming & established film & digital photographers.

over 100 copies printed and sold.

Scope

Established style guidelines for magazine, including typography, page structure & layout. Communication and execution of final print with printers.

Informed by values

By embedding physical process into the creation of the magazine, the design aesthetic represented the core beliefs of pastiche as an artist's organization.

Overview

Type Museum is a yearly event hosted at Emily Carr University in collaboration with Type Brigade.

For Type Museum I created an exhibit exploring and celebrating the unique typographic history of national park signage in North America.

Scope

Design & fabrication of signage using laser-cutting & CNC technologies. Large-scale informational poster prints, brochures and take-away prints. I also created a looping video presentation.

Take-aways

I designed and risoprinted various take-aways, such as a typographic poster about the "National Park" typeface, and a map of prominent national parks in the US. The intent was to give the audience a little piece to take home with them.
